My new RTX 5060 Ti 8GB Review and Showcase
Devan C. Lee

Today is June 17th, 2025 and I have finally received my company sponsored NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060ti 8gb Graphics Card!
I cannot wait to try this thing out, and I am deadass curious as to how this will impact my current computers' overall performance.
And do you want to know the best thing about this Graphics Card? I got it completely for free 😎!
I work as a sales professional at Crew2, a Home Depot subsidiary specializing in installation services. My responsibilities include brokering product installations, providing client quotes, and driving sales growth through strategic customer engagement.
My particular branch specializes in Plumbing and selling Water Heater's specifically, which ain't too shabby. But lowkey, I feel like sometimes the Home Depot is ripping customer's off with their prices. But, then again, I ain't the one making the rules.
This job at this company is dead-ass a DREAM COME TRUE, and even I don't know how a complete degenerate such as I, was able to score such a easy, and reliable job.
My job is a fully remote, and part-time gig, where I work in the evenings. The company gave me my own specialized work laptop, work headset, and decent monitor, in which I use to complete calls and generate sales.
I use the laptop to do my job, but I ditched the monitor as it's relatively unneeded, and I really don't have the space on my desk for it. Still, they gave me a decent and modern Lenovo ThinkPad computer, and Work headset for FREE for me to use, and which I can also use for non-work purposes.
The best part about this position is that it's completely remote! I feel incredibly blessed to have this opportunity. Remote work has been such a game-changer for me - I love the flexibility it provides and the improved work-life balance.
I get to start my day without a stressful commute, can maintain my own schedule, and have the comfort of working from home. The role itself is straightforward and manageable, which I really appreciate. While it can be repetitive at times, I find the simplicity allows me to focus on doing quality work without unnecessary stress.
Having this level of flexibility has honestly improved my overall quality of life, and I'm grateful for this job, and grateful that I got it relatively early (I'm only 20 years old, and I got this job when I turned 19.)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My job has this incredible program called "Rheem Points" - it's basically a commission-based reward system that's honestly mind-blowing! As a salesperson, I accumulate points with every sale, and these points can be redeemed for the most amazing stuff you can imagine. We're talking everything from high-end electronics and furniture to actual sports event tickets and even full vacation packages! Fuckin' free money that I can get just for doing my job.
Every single water heater I sell to clients earns me Rheem points, and since I've been with the company for just over a year now, I've managed to rack up a pretty substantial amount. When I met with my manager recently, he pulled up my account and showed me that I had earned around 60,000 Rheem points - which translates to roughly $500 in purchasing power! It was basically free money, so I wasn't worried about the amount. Money is money and beggars can't be choosers.
The timing couldn't have been more perfect because I'd been desperately needing to upgrade my graphics card. I wanted something that could handle video editing and support my hobbies better. With my accumulated points, I was able to redeem them for a brand new Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060ti 8GB - this is literally one of the newest graphics cards that just released this March! It gave me the excuse to buy it, and to test out the latest Graphics card.
It's such an amazing feeling to essentially get paid twice for doing good work - once with my regular salary and again through these incredible rewards. I can't believe I basically got a cutting-edge graphics card just for doing my job, a job that I kind of slack off on LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Anyways, yeah, essentially I got this Graphics card for free, like the actual big dick chad that I am. Like why the fuck would I slave away $500 to get a new Graphics Card when I can essentially just get it for free? Unfortunately, I'm not an idiot, but here we go:
It took a few days to ship it my house, but I eventually got it, and I was mad excited to open it. I had like, the hugest fucking boner! It was June 17th, when I received it.
Deadass, I was lowkey thinking of building a new PC, but like I needed some more parts. I never got the chance to actually build my own PC, but over the years, I've upgraded the pre-built PC that I have now, and I learned a thing or two, about PC mechanics.
One day, I plan on building on my own, and adding new parts like this will help me learn how to do it myself much more efficiently. I know, buying a prebuilt PC is virgin behavior, but I'm low-key glad that I at least got one, and that I am teaching myself how to upgrade, and adjusts part.
With the prebuilt PC that I have now, I upgraded my RAM, SSD, Cooling Fan, CPU, and now I get to learn how to actually assemble a GPU for a PC.
The next things I need to learn are power supply, and the actual case + wiring. But anyways, where was I? Oh yeah, the GPU.
This GPU gives the biggest boner and I'm geekin out about it. I can't wait to assemble it, but here are some pictures of it.
I waited a few days to order it, and now that it's here, and finally in my presence; I can get the chance to actually molest it.
Taking off the condom protecting this PC, we can finally get into unearth the inspect the raw, untainted beauty of the GPU.
Here is a pic of the Ass side of the GPU:
Now here's a pic of the Dick side:
I brought out my PC, and disassembled the case to begin the insemination process, and to finally wave my old Graphics card goodbye.
Taking out the old was easier than I had originally anticipated. I had an issue with removing the PC cases' panel which held the CPU tightly in, but once I got the hang of it, I successfully got the old one out.
Now it's finally time to add this one in!
Before I begin to inseminate my PC with this new Graphics Card, I want take the time really appreciate the beauty of the old GPU I had.
The old GPU that I had was this 2014 EVGA RTX 970 that was on it's last legs. This thing was installed with the original prebuilt PC that I had purchased. I salute the dedication that this GPU gave me.
After I aborted the old one out, I began the insemination process for the new GPU:
It took a minute for me to put in the new Graphics card because I was confused about the wiring, but after some meticulous inspection, I managed to put it in:

Review:
Now with this PC in, I noticed some changes with my Computer's overall performance.
For one, in Graphics Heavy related Video Editing software such as Premiere Pro, and After Effects, I noticed some minimal changes relating to the overall performance to the applications after adjusting to the relevant settings.
There are subtle changes in the processing speed of graphics heavy transitions, and edits, however, video play-back in still an issue ---- but I think that more or less, has to do with the CPU, rather the GPU.
For photo-editing software, there are new subtle beneficial changes that I have recognized such as a much more detailed visual interface for content I am edting in applications such as Photoshop and Lightroom. This is important because, well, y'know, it gives me an advantage for my photo editing, and Photography (which is what this website is about!).
For gaming, there is a significant difference in the quality of texture that the games provide now. In Fortnite for example, my graphics are now much more refined, and detailed, which gives me the ability to even view the smallest, minute details of the game's world.
I also noticed a significant increase in my gaming's overall FPS.
Games like Red Dead Redemption 2, and GTA IV, for example now, are a much more visually detailed, although these games were stunning to view to begin with.
Overall, I think this GPU is a good investment, I'm not too particularly satisfied with the effects on video editing, and 3D design, but I am satisfied with the benefits it's granted to photo-editing, and gaming visuals and graphics.
I am just more or less glad, however, that I got this GPU FOR FREE!
That's one the benefits of working remote! Slack off, get paid for it, and even get a new GPU!
Thanks for reading this blog!
