YouTube True Crime Video Ideas and Plan for 2026.
Devv
Introduction
Last year, I wasn't as able to produce as many YouTube videos as I had originally wanted to. While I did work on a few different videos discussing niche topics, I wasn't able to reach the goal I wanted for 2025.
Now that it's 2026, I don't intend on making the same mistake again. This year, I hope to at least produce 1-2 videos per month documenting various topics regarding true crime.
But the main problem isn't with producing videos- because video editing is very easy- but instead with creating original captivating content and storyboarding ideas whilst also maintain respectful boundaries.
True crime is incredible genre, and is one of my favorite content genres- which I plan to dedicate my channel to. But the problem with curating content for this genre is finding good stories to tell whilst also remaining respectful to the victims.
Ideas Explanation
Last year, I drafted, storyboarded, recorded, and edited videos discussing true crime cases that I thought were captivating. However, I came across a moral block that prevented me from further creating.
I have always wanted to dedicate my channel to discussing True Cases related to Hmong-based criminal cases, and internet mysteries.
I always found it strange there were no dedicated Hmong True crime channels on YouTube, and I wanted to fulfill this niche.
