Solicitous — Gratitude & Journaling App Effective Date: May 16, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Solicitous ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
2. Use of the App
Solicitous is intended for personal, non-commercial use. You agree to use the App only for its intended purpose — private journaling and daily mindfulness practice. You may not:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify any part of the App
- Use the App for any unlawful or unauthorized purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App or its infrastructure
3. User Content
All journal entries and notes you create in Solicitous are yours. We do not claim ownership over your content. You are solely responsible for the content you write and store within the App.
4. Free & Subscription Services
Solicitous offers a free tier and an optional paid subscription. The free tier includes core journaling and gratitude features. The subscription plan unlocks additional quality-of-life features, expanded export options, and multi-device access.
- Subscriptions are billed through Google Play and are subject to Google Play's billing terms
- You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Google Play account settings
- Refunds are handled in accordance with Google Play's refund policy
- We reserve the right to modify subscription pricing with advance notice
5. Data & Privacy
Your journal entries are stored locally on your device and are never accessed by us. For full details on how we handle your data, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
6. Exports
Free accounts are limited to approximately 2 exports per month, covering a single month's worth of entries. Subscription accounts have access to full export functionality. Exported files are sent directly to your device.
7. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in the App — including its design, branding, code, and content — belong to the Solicitous team. Nothing in these Terms grants you any rights to our intellectual property beyond using the App as intended.
8. Disclaimers
Solicitous is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of harmful components. We are not responsible for any loss of data resulting from device failure, App malfunction, or uninstallation.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Solicitous team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or discontinue the App or any of its features at any time, with or without notice. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date and notify users via an in-app notice. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of your applicable jurisdiction. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved in accordance with those laws.
