Solicitous — Gratitude & Journaling App

Welcome to Solicitous ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Solicitous mobile application (the "App"). Please read this policy carefully. If you disagree with its terms, please discontinue use of the App.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

a) Information You Provide Directly

• Journal entries and gratitude notes you create within the App
• Any preferences or settings you configure within the App

b) Information Collected Automatically

• Basic device information (e.g., operating system version) for app functionality purposes
• Crash reports and diagnostic data, solely to improve app performance

c) Information We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other personal identifying information unless you voluntarily provide it for subscription or support purposes
• We do not collect location data
• We do not sell, share, or transmit your journal entries to any third party

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Operate, maintain, and improve the App
• Respond to your inquiries or support requests
• Process subscription purchases (handled by Google Play billing services)
• Analyze aggregated, anonymized usage data to understand how the App is used

4. Local Data Storage

All journal entries and personal notes created within Solicitous are stored locally on your device. We do not upload, transmit, or have access to the content of your journal entries unless you explicitly use an export feature. Your data is yours alone.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share limited, non-personal information in the following circumstances:

• With service providers who assist in operating the App (e.g., analytics or crash reporting tools), under strict confidentiality agreements
• If required by law, regulation, or valid legal process
• To protect the rights, property, or safety of Solicitous, our users, or others

6. Subscriptions and Payments

If you choose to purchase a subscription, all payment transactions are processed through Google Play. We do not directly collect or store your payment information. Please refer to Google's Privacy Policy for details on how payment data is handled: https://policies.google.com/privacy

7. Data Exports

Free accounts may export journal entries up to approximately 2 times per month for a single month's worth of entries. Subscription accounts have access to full export functionality. Exported files are delivered directly to your device and are not stored or accessed by us.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately so we can delete it.

9. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information stored on your device. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We encourage you to use strong device passwords and keep your operating system up to date to further protect your data.

10. Data Retention

Your journal entries remain on your device for as long as you choose to keep them. You may delete individual entries or all data at any time within the App. Uninstalling the App will remove locally stored data from your device.

11. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict certain data processing activities

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective Date" at the top of this page and notify users via an in-app notice. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
