A photo a day.
Devan Lee
I recently came into contact with a photo archive I made when I was 19 in 2024, detailing photos of my appreciation for nature.
I found this collection hidden inside of my desk, when I was cleaning it out.
It was a small binder containing a set of Fujifilm polaroids taken of various different nature perspectives, which I took when I was still experimenting with my photography journey for the first time in 2024.
Looking through the album, made me kind of sad.
It was a melancholic feeling, because while these pictures captured images of things that I found interesting, it also captured of a period of my life that I miss dearly, a period where I was experiencing these activities for the first time.
This was a period of my life, where I was in a much better position than what I am now, and I miss this period dearly.
I have a lot of regrets from this period, but one of the biggest regrets I have was not being able to finish the photo album. Looking at it now; it's half finished- probably due to procrastination, or maybe I forgot about it.
But now that I see it again, I remember it all like yesterday.
Because of finding this album, it's motivated me to continue with my photography journey, and to become more disciplined with it.
I plan to take a least one photo a day, of anything, anything at all, and just save it. Save it, and the date attached.
Just for the memories.
